New Zealand has a national bio-security system that is considered one of the most robust in the world. Please refer to this website for more information.
The currency used is New Zealand dollar. Banking hours are usually 0900 - 1600hrs, Monday to Friday. Automatic teller machines are well spread throughout Auckland. International credit-cards are accepted throughout the country banks, most hotels and city stores.

Goods and Services Tax
Goods and Services in New Zealand are subject to a 15% tax (GST). This tax is usually included in the price and if not, it is clearly stated. This tax cannot be claimed back by visitors when leaving the country.
It is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit to new Zealand and to protect against cancellation charges, loss or damage to your luggage and personal effects, loss of cash and medical expenses.
Name badges will be given to all delegates on registration. We ask that you wear your badge at all times, including social functions.
Please be aware that attending media representative may take photographs and record audio and video footage of the proceedings. Materials produced may be displayed online or in other ways, e.g; television or print or used by the College of Emergency Nurses new Zealand or marketing purposes. All attendee understand and agree to this.
Other delegates may take and distribute images or recordings via social networking sites or independent websites. The CENNZ Conference can take no responsibility for material or images used in this way.
Every effort will be made to ensure delegates with special needs are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, or catering please give details required on your registration form.
A taxi fare from the Auckland Airport to the city centre is around $90 one way. Taxi ranks are located outside the arrival area (door 8) at the international terminal. Super Shuttle offers a shared ride option. The approximate cost for the trip from the airport to the city is $35 one way for one person. The shuttles operate from the Shuttle rank at the airport (not the taxi rank) located outside the arrivals area (door 8). Bookings can be made on the Super Shuttle website or you can just turn up to the terminal ranks.

No vaccinations are required to enter New Zealand
All visitors to new Zealand must have a passport which is valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in New Zealand. Visa information and the visa application form are available on www.immigration.govt.nz. If you require a Visitor's Visa, please allow at least 5-6 weeks for processing.
