Dr Stephen Ritchie

Dr Stephen Ritchie is an Infectious Disease Physician at Auckland City Hospital and Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, where he teaches medical students and researches bacterial infections and ways to improve the use of antibiotics in our community. When he is not at work, he spends every moment he can having adventures with his family.

His talk "The balance: rational antibiotic prescribing" will introduce Antimicrobial Stewardship and provide a rational argument to reduce antibiotic prescribing for upper airways infections.
