The key to achieving a better delegate rate amongst brokers is the Auckland location.
Again Propel is coming to the insurance industry’s city, as Auckland houses the majority of people that work in insurance, with an estimated 75% of brokers living in the greater Auckland area. With little need for plane and accommodation expenditure, the home location will enable flexible registrations and ‘walk-up’ delegates.
The facilities offered by SKYCITY will enable a more versatile program with several concurrent sessions. There are two main large areas on two separate floors with adjacent meetings rooms. IBANZ has booked the whole complex for the duration of the conference.
One of the large spaces will be used for the exhibition and has sufficient space for our normal range of stands. There will also be a stage for prize giving within the exhibition hall. The second large space will be used for plenary sessions as well as two separate workshops spaces. This area will be converted later on the Friday for the gala dinner.
Four meeting rooms are located on each floor adjacent to the main halls, these will be available for workshops. Our intention is to set the plenary session area out theatre style and to have the workshops in a classroom layout.
SKYCITY has demonstrated through previous functions that they have the capability to cater for large groups. Their food is excellent and this together with their excellent in-house audio-visual team will ensure good conference sessions as well as all the services we require for the gala dinner.
