Welcome
Welcome to the IBANZ Insurance Brokers Conference 2012. Once again we are bringing you an event packed with interesting speakers, workshops which are very relevant in the current environment, plenty of networking opportunities and of course social events to relax because after the last year we need some of that.
The conference will return to Auckland in 2012 as in the current climate we believe that is the right thing to do as the market continues to deal with the fallout from Canterbury. Right now the content of conference is more important than the location.
To ensure you are given the best possible value this year we have taken our experience from recent conferences and refreshed the programme. We also surveyed members to get their input on what they want out of conference.
One of the things all this tells us is that we need to give you a good mix of interactive workshops balanced by a range of plenary session speakers talking on the issues facing the insurance sector today. To accommodate this mix we have split the two days into half workshops, half plenary. As we finalise speakers and workshops details will be added to the programme page of this website.
Making it easy for as many people as possible to attend conference is also important. We are continuing to offer the flexi pass registration option; introduced two years ago these have proved to be an outstanding success allowing a far greater range of delegates to attend.
Networking is always cited by delegates as a key reason to attend our Propel conference so there will be plenty of opportunities to mix with colleagues from across the industry as well as with those whose services support us. We facilitate this through having an exhibition hall that is open and vibrant thus attracting a wide range of exhibitors. This central gathering point is open throughout the day; a place that caters for that essential coffee, a bite of lunch or a drink to round off the day.
Then there are the evening social events where delegates are able to relax and network as well as bring their partners for entertainment with great food and drink.
This year the focus is on the future, make sure you are there to kick start your future.
