Joy is the Business Manager of Event Link Ltd – one of the Conference Innovator group of Companies. She joined Conference Innovators in 1999 as an Event Manager and spent five years in this role.
In 2004 Joy assisted Megan O’Brien in setting up Event Link Ltd – a registration processing company with a target market of groups who were managing the logistics of their own association or corporate conference but required assistance with administration and registration. This business has shown steady growth and in 2007 all of the Conference Innovator conference registrations were moved to the Event Link service.
Joy manages two registration staff and a part-time casual group who prepare the personal packs for delegates to collect at conference. This group is headed by Celia O’Brien who has been with the company since its inception.
Prior to joining Conference Innovators Joy spent 10 years as Administration Manager for Canterbury Tourism during a strong growth period for tourism in Canterbury.
Joy’s role requires her to be ‘flexible’ and ‘accommodating’ of both her Event Link and Conference Innovator clients and delegates. To maintain her ‘flexibility’ she works out at a Pilates Fitness Studio and is a great proponent of this style of exercise for health and well-being. She also spends a lot of quality time in her garden and walks most days. The garden is very often used for outdoor entertaining as she and her partner love to share it with family and friends. A Trim Latte is her daily treat!
