An afternoon visit by all workshop participants to Rangitoto Island in the Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf, has been planned for Wednesday 14th April 2010.  This visit will focus on a recent Department of Conservation pest eradication operation.  Please note that the costs associated with the field trip will be covered by Workshop hosts.  It is hoped that the trip will provide an opportunity to pass on lessons learned from a recent pest eradication operation, close to New Zealand’s largest city centre.  

Please note that you will need to bring: good walking shoes, a sun hat, sun block, warm weather clothing and a rain coat.  Auckland’s weather can be fairly changeable at this time of year.
