Welcome to the World Conference on Timber Engineering
We are looking forward to seeing many presenters, contributors and delegates at the World Conference on Timber Engineering in Auckland in 2012. Welcome to our website which will grow over the next two years as our committee develop this exciting event with input from many of you from around the world. This conference is jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia and will have tours in both countries. We will look forward to discussing the developments in timber structures and joint timber research of the host nations as well the best internationally.
The conference venue is in the heart of the central retail district of Auckland just 10 minutes walk from the waterfront. Auckland has a population of 1.4M people and is beautifully situated between bush clad hills, dormant volcanic cones and two harbours. Our moderate climate means sailing is all year round as are outdoor sports and golf, supplemented by excellent restaurants and local entertainment. We hope that you will come and enjoy our hospitality and exciting range of partner events.

The objective of the WCTE 2012 is to provide a forum for the exchange of the latest technological advances, research results and design innovations.
