Thank you

Talofa, Malo e le to malo e lelei, Kia orana, Bula vinaka

Thank you everyone for a wonderful conference. On behalf of Te Ao Maramatanga and Drug and Alcohol Nurses of Australasia Inc, we would like to thank the conference committee, our keynote and concurrent speakers, our entertainers and the Rendezvous Hotel for making this conference a successful and memorable occasion. Thank you to the delegates who enthusiastically participated and made the conference a warm and stimulating occasion.

This is the first time that mental health and addiction nurses have hosted a joint conference in Australia or New Zealand. We are delighted with how this went. The feedback tells us that nurses were pleased to have the opportunity to hear each others' viewpoints and to discover the commonalties in our practice areas. This is a foundation for future gatherings, seminars and other opportunities for sharing our expertise.

Partnership was a major theme of this conference. We are particularly grateful to Carolyn Swanson and Rhonda Robertson who enabled us to incorporate a significant service user voice at all stages of planning and implementation. Again, we hope that this partnership continues to grow in our professional work as mental health and addiction nurses.

Please feel free to pop into this website over the coming months to check out the presentations continue the important networking that happened at the conference.

Nga mihi

Kate Prebble and Louise Leonard
