A selection of tours have been organised and are listed below.  Some of the tours have minimum numbers attached to them.  If there are insufficient numbers booking for the tour, a full refund will be given.  Register for Social Tours through the online registration form.

Skiing Packages

Wednesday 30 June 2010 and Sunday 4 July 2010, 7:00am – 6:00pm
Minimum numbers: 20 per day

 

Your tour includes return transportation to the Mt Hutt Ski Field

1.       Beginner Lift Pass includes access to the surface lifts

2.       One Day Lift Pass includes full access to all operating chairlifts and surface lifts

3.       Ski/Board Hire includes recreational rental equipment hire. Your choice of skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots. All snowboards have freestyle/strap in bindings.

4.       Clothing Rental includes jacket and pants.

Price does not include refreshments, or performance equipment hire.

 

Tour leaves Mt Hutt at 4.00pm for the 2 hour journey back to Christchurch, or earlier if the weather comes in.

Hanmer Springs Day Tour

Thursday 1 July, 9:00am – 5:45pm

Nestled in the magnificent South Island high country is Hanmer Springs, a beautiful and charming alpine village & spa resort surrounded by majestic mountains and mature forests.  For 125 years, Hanmer Springs has attracted visitors seeking the benefits of its natural mineral waters and clean, clear alpine air.  At the thermal reserve you can bathe in the 12 thermal pools, with temperatures ranging from 33 - 42 degrees Celsius.

 

We have arranged a choice of jet boating the spectacular Waiau Gorge, or a spa treatment (facial or massage). On the return journey we visit an award winning Waipara winery, set in New Zealand's fastest wine growing region, for wine tastings.

 

Tour includes:

Akaroa Scenic Day Tour

Visit the beautiful historic seaside town of Akaroa known for its French heritage, and majestic scenery.  Travel the scenic route to Akaroa, around the scenic coves and bays of Banks Peninsula, formed from an extinct volcano. 

 

Tour Includes:

  • Transfers with a knowledgeable tour guide and commentary
  • 2 hour cruise on Akaroa Harbour to view the majestic scenery & wildlife.  Packed with highlights – you should see the rare native dolphin – the Hector’s Dolphin; seals; penguins and a variety of birdlife
  • Time to explore this picturesque and historic village
  • Cheese tastings at the only remaining cheese factory on the Peninsula
  • Lunch at Bully Hayes Restaurant - choice of main course & tea or coffee

The South Island of New Zealand has some of the southernmost vineyards in the world with climatic conditions which produce distinctive wines that cannot be found anywhere else.  The Waipara Valley is Canterbury’s premier wine growing region and New Zealand’s fastest growing wine region, located 50 minutes north of Christchurch with around 80 vineyards covering more than 1,500 hectares of plantings.  It is an ideal cool climate grape growing region with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc dominating local plantings.

 

Tour Includes:

  • Transfers with a knowledgeable tour guide and commentary
  • Wine tastings at 4 award winning Waipara wineries, such as Pegasus Bay, Torlesse, Waipara Springs, Greystone, Terrace Edge, Muddy Water, Mt Cass or Mud House
