Dee MacPherson

Biography

Dee has worked in the industry since 1967 as a dental receptionist, dental and orthodontic assistant and representative of Dentsply, Unitek, Gunz and Dentaurum.

 

She has taken part in several overseas courses held by parent companies Unitek (USA) and Dentaurum (Germany).

Her responsibilities include staff recruitment and training as well as sales and marketing throughout Australia and New Zealand. Dee holds a certificate in Management (AIM) and Training (Training Services Australia).

 

Dee began training dental assistants in 1989 after recognising a need for specialized training for orthodontic assistants.

Her courses have been held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Newcastle, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

 

Dee is currently working for Dentaurum Australia where she has been the director for the past 18years. She also presents the orthodontic component of the DAA (NSW Branch) course and has held several positions within the Australian Dental Industry Association.

 

 

Delivering a consistent message on the use of TADs and TAD sterilization techniques

Date: Thursday 1 July 

Time: 10:30am – 11:15am

 

Objective:

For your patients to fully understand the TAD procedure the team must present the information with a consistent message. Using correct terminology in clearly understood language from the whole clinical team will allow the patient to be more comfortable during the procedure. Written information, verbal skills as well as delivery will be reviewed as well as the correct protocol for delivery and sterilization of TAD’s.

 

Learning Outcomes:

Participants should be able to ensure a smooth and seamless delivery of TADs while following incorporated guidelines set out in this lecture.
