Welcome to the NZ College of Mental Health Nurses Conference
There’s a Southerly Change happening in 2011 when the 3rd International Conference of Te Ao Maramatanga, New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses comes to Dunedin.
The conference theme “Southerly Change” was chosen to reflect both our location and the direction of mental health nursing in New Zealand. New Zealand does not have the experience of centuries of mental health care when compared to the UK, US and European countries. Historically, mental health developments in New Zealand have followed UK and US trends. Overseas experiences often inform directions and changes to mental health nursing practice in New Zealand
