Overall theme description

Abstracts are invited to showcase recent, current or planned rural health research topics.

 

General requirements for the submission of abstracts

Abstracts  will be taken for oral presentations, to be presented during a series of concurrent sessions based on research. Submissions should present results of recent research, or discuss research in progress in some way.

Size and presentation

Abstracts for presentations must be presented in the following format and are to be no longer than 300 words: 

  • Title and author(s) surname(s) to be in capital letters, bold and the name of the presenting author should be underlined e.g. ALLEN Richard and ERIS Josette, Department of Renal Medicine, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Missenden Road, Camperdown, NSW 2510.
  • Do not include titles or degrees
  • Font: Arial 12 point, single spacing, do not indent paragraphs
  • Check spelling and grammar
  • Abstracts of papers will be published in the Conference handbook and should contain no errors
  • Standard scientific abbreviations should be included in parenthesis after the first use of the full word

Abstract content
Please present sufficient data to support conclusions within the abstract – it is not acceptable to use statements such as “data will be presented” or “results will be discussed”.
