Children's Programme kindly sponsored by the New Zealand Institute of Rural Health

The Children's programme is open to delegates children aged between 5 and 14 years of age and
will run for the two main conference days, Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of March 2012.
The first 8 children to register will receive the programme at no cost - a saving of $305 per child!!

Friday 9 March
8.30am Meet and Greet in the Children's Suite at the Millennium Hotel (Suite 505)
9.00am Depart the hotel and walk into the centre of town
9.30am Board the big red Double-Decker Bus bound for Lake Hayes, The Bungy Centre and Arrowtown
Morning tea will be enroute, and special bus games for entertainment on the way. 1 hr stop in Arrowtown allows the exciting change to pan for gold and a visit to the famous Remarkables Sweet Shop for some Fudge Tasting...YUM!!
12.30pm Return to Queenstown on the Double-Decker Bus
A short walk to the lakefront for a picnic lunch and a play at the park, a treasure hunt (in teams) has been set up nearby with lots of prizes!!
2.30pm Time to cool off.....at the Below Zero Ice Bar. A really cool afternoon experience with loads of ice carvings to look at, even the walls and furniture is made of ice!! You will be provided with special warm clothing need to venure in and will enjoy a kids Mocktail in a glass made of ice
3.30pm Time to warm up again while filling in your Queenstown Activity Books
4.00pm Afternoon tea in the park before heading down to the Underwater Observatory to feed the local fish population
5.00pm Make your way back to the hotel
5.30pm Day concludes
Saturday 10 March
8.30am Meet and Greet in the Children's Suite at the Millennium Hotel (Suite 505)
9.00am Make your way into town and up the hill tothe Skyline Gondola Buidling
9.30am Take an exciting ride on the Queenstown Gondola. Right up to the top for a pre-packed picnic morning tea while we check out the amazind view of Queenstown
2 x Luge rides are included per child. The first lap is a "Safety Lap" and must be undertaked before any child ventures onto the larger track
(carers comfortably double with smaller children or anyone who may be a little anxious)
11.30am Make you way back down into town to the Steamer Wharf
12.00pm All Aboard!! Board the TSS Earnslaw and take a trip across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and a cool farm tour including feeding deer, sheep, and perhaps the Highland Cattle if you are feeling brave!
Eat a freshly baked afternoon tea before boarding the boat for the trip back
 3.30pm Return to Queenstown and head into the quiet Queenstown Gardens to take time and fill in your Queenstown Activity books and have a game of Frisbee Golf.
 5.00pm Make you way back to the hotel for you group farewell and photo slideshow
 5.30pm Day concludes
