Pre Conference Hosted Workshops

The following organisations are to host pre-conference workshops. These interactive hands-on sessions will be held in the Telstra Clear Rooms within Te Papa. Registrations for these can be made during the registration process. Please note that there may be limited spaces based on venue capacities.

CARIS	New Methods for processing bathymetric and sonar data	Full Day
	Join CARIS for a comprehensive overview of processing methods for the Shallow Survey common dataset. The workshop will feature data from the various manufacturers who participated in the common dataset collection. There will be a large focus on the processing of water column data in both 2D using the swath editor, as well as in the 3D subset editor. Other areas covered will be post processed navigation data, 64-bit processing productivity and advancements of the Geocoder implementation in HIPS and SIPS. Techniques for the management of the bathymetric data will also be investigated using the tools available in Bathy DataBASE.	9.00 am- 4.30pm

QPS BV	New functionality in QINSy Survey Software	Afternoon
	QPS BV in close cooperation with ESRI will present the latest update on the "optimized hydrographic workflow". QPS will show the latest updates in QINSy and Fledermaus plus scheduled developments and will advise the participants also about the connection to the arcGIS work environment.	1.00pm - 4.30pm

RESON	PDS2000 Software and High Resolution Survey	Morning or afternoon
	PDS2000 for Multibeam Surveys provides the functionality for survey planning, data acquisition, data processing, editing volume calculation and chart production. This turnkey solution offers the surveyor and helmsman a strong tool to carry out the multibeam survey efficiently. Join the RESON PDS2000 workshop and become an introduction to the functionalities of RESON PDS2000 survey software.	Either 9.00am - 12.30pm OR 1.00pm - 4.30pm

Triton	Integrated data processing and interpretation with Triton's new Perspective software	Afternoon
	Introduction of new multi layer GIS-based advanced processing application for producing accurate imagery of the seafloor and subsurface. Allows for fusion of sidescan, multibeam and subbottom imagery in the map view with access to raw waterfall, swath or profile data for enhanced interpretation of processed results	1.00pm - 4.30pm
