The City
Auckland will host the WCTE 2012 Conference on behalf of New Zealand and Australia.  As New Zealand's largest city, it is also the international gateway to the rest of the country and is serviced frequently by several airlines.

Located in the North Island, Auckland's waterside location has fostered the locals' love affair with the sea, earning this place the nickname "City of Sails". The Conference Venue
Located in the heart of the city, the SkyCity Convention Centre is the venue for the 2012 World Conference on Timber Engineering. All conference sessions will beheld in this venue and there will be several accommodation options available for you to choose from when registrations become available.
