Venue
The 2012 conference will be held across three iconic Wellington venues; the Michael Fowler Centre, Te Wharewaka o Poneke and the Adam Auditorium located at the City Art Gallery, all of which are within five minutes walking distance from each other. Wellington is a 'walking city', with the central city easily accessible on foot; we encourage delegates to bring your comfortable footwear and make the most of the thriving waterfront and city areas surrounding the conference venues.
All venues are based in the central business district and are within walking distance of Wellington's cafes, shops, museums, theatres, banks, major hotels and nightlife.

| Te Raukura, Te Wharewaka o Poneke Opened in February 2011, Te Raukura is a new purpose-built centre in the heart of Wellington's prestigious waterfront. A unique mix of tradition within a contemporary context, this versatile venue is built to house two ceremonial waka taua and waka ama, hence its description as Te Wharewaka o Poneke. Set within this Maori cultural environment, there is a range of different spaces available, from meeting and function rooms to an exhibition-style area. Te Raukura is within close proximity to top hotel accommodation and parking and is across the road from the Michael Fowler Centre. |
